It looks as though you can pick up the really neat ATI TV Wonder 650 NTSC/ATSC/FM hardware (USB or PCI) for between $110 and $130.
Best Buy has the external 650 USB for $113 which is about $40 off regular price. The PCIe card is $117. There are simiar sale prices at other places.
If you go to Best Buy, be sure to look for the 'PC Compatible' package. The ATI Mac packag is not on sale.
Hey, has anyone explicitly tested either the USB or PCIe Wonder 650 on MediaCenter?

Best Buy, my toy store
I was there today looking at HDTV's
Not sure I would buy a Tuner unless it also had HDTV in it since the standard will change in a year+ a few months, and at that point they will be worthless.
Of course I am sure Best Buy does not have that listed to inform buyers.

Hey King
NtSC = old school (analog)
ATSC = new school (Dig./ HD)
Hope this helps

On top of that info, the FCC requires all US sellers of TV equipment to notify buyers in writing of the HD change over and whether or not the stuff they just bought is affected by the shutdown of analog in 2009.

ATSC = new school (Dig./ HD)
One day I will be new school
Right now I'm just old
the only thing i don't like about all this HD stuff is when there is allot of movement on the screen it is not all that HD, more like pixelated
-
pixellation has nothing to do with HD and everything to do with cheap-o satellite receivers and/or cable boxes/HTPC.

Well I Looked At best buy, Circuit City, And hhgregg
Now i am not sure how they were all hooked up however
I also looked at my sister-in laws when on vacation a few months ago and it was hooked up to a HDTV Direct TV Box.
They all displayed the same pixelation problem during motion.
I did read a review on one recently on a HDTV and it stated it had a faster than normal chip set I forget exactly what it said right now.
I also have not seen one playing a HD DVD, so i am not sure what that looks like.
