Title: How to exclude content from a view
Post by: alexisbatman on January 02, 2008, 02:52:28 am
Sorry... this is a really annoying question but im a bit confused. I had MC11 which had a very convenient 'Include' and 'Exclude' function when setting up custom views. I cant work out how to do this with MC12. Can someone walk me through it please. Sorry

Do you want to set it up global or just per view?

If you want to set it up global:
Go to "View -> Access Control...", hit "Advanced". Make sure that "Enable access control" is selected in this window. If you want to exclude eg. all files with genre "Techno" you can past -[genre]="Techno" and no file containig "techno" in its genre will be viewed within MC.

If you want to set it up per view:
Right click on "Audio" (or any child view) and select "Edit view scheme". In "Step 4" you are able to set up which files are in- or excluded in the selected view. Clicking the small arrow at the left in "Step 4" and chosing "Wizard" will bring up a window where all the things can be done very easy.
