Title: Is media subtype field meant to be user defineable?

I want to tag some of my videos as "personal clips" under the media subtype field so as to distinguish it from other subtypes like "movie" "music video" "tv show". This is so that Theater View view scheme can run in an organised manner.

But I cannot seem to add "personal clips" to media subtype. The change is not saved. Is there a way to do this?
