Title: Adding "Places" tag to images changed all "Modified Date" entry on files
Post by: RorK on January 13, 2008, 06:39:03 am
Hi,

After using MediaCenter for a while to keep my audio collection in order, I added my holiday photo's to MC as well. To keep them organized I thought it would be nice to add a "Places" tag to the files, so I would be able to quickly sort out photos based on a country or so.

After done the organizing, I saw that MC changed the file on disk as well, resulting in a different date on the files.  >:(

I checked the settings in MC, and posts on this forum as well, but am not sure where to turn this behavior off in the prefs of MC to prevent this for future image files.......  ?

Thanks in advance,

Rob

MC reads and writes standard JPEG tags -- IPTC, XMP, and EXIF.  This is a good thing.

You can disable tagging in Options > General if you don't want it.
