Title: Adding playing songs to a predefined playlist on the fly by the remote ctrl

I am seeking help on the following challenge. I would like to be able to add the song currently playing to a predefined playlist on the fly. I would like to do this with the remote control. I have a setup based on Girder and USB-UIRT and currently using LUA scripting and the MC12 core commands to control MC12. I do hovewer not see any possibility to add the current playing song to a predefined playlist or any playlist for that matter through these commands. Do any of you have any idea on how to achive such a functionality. The functionality is very handy when the user has a large library and wants to save nice songs on a playlist for later playback.
