Title: New Feature Request - Hot key for DVD menu
Post by: nonspectas on January 16, 2008, 08:11:41 am
Forgive my ignorance here as I have never posted to anything before. I understand that accessing the DVD menu can be done by right clicking on the screen during playback of a video/DVD. I am currently using a Snapstream Firefly remote which does have mouse capabilities, but it would be nice if MediaCenter 12 had a hot key that could access the DVD menu so I could program one of the buttons on the remote for easy access. By the way, I think this is the best media software out there hands down!

If you can run something on a button press, this will work:
MC12.exe /MCC 10033

One solution we could add would be for 1...9 to do this during DVD playback:

1: DVD menu
2...9: Quick seek through DVD using 8 stops

Any thoughts?

I'm pretty sure the Firefly remote does not allow running exectuables. Seems to be limited to key strokes. Your suggestion about 1 thru 9 keys to for this would be great. Or you could make it Ctrl+[1-9]. I hope it would not impact other functionality.

Was wondering if a decision had been made whether or not to add this feature.
