Title: MC12 & Pinnacle Soundbridge -> no Archive found?
Post by: Liteville on January 22, 2008, 03:34:39 pm
Hello,

first sorry for my bad english, i come from Germany  ::)

I use Media Center for a long time, today in Version 12.0410.
I taste (before i buy) a Pinncale/Roku SoundBridge (connect WLAN with an AVM-Fritz Box 7050).

The Problem: SoundBridge found no Archiv!
Internet-Radio functioned.

I search for a step-by-step manual, but i dont found it. :(

What I make?
1. Start MC
2. UPnP Server -> Option -> Roku SoundBridge
3. Start UPnP Server:
01/22/08 22:24:44 - JRiver UPnP Server Version 1.0.49 starting...
01/22/08 22:24:45 - UPnP Media Server Device started on port 9000
01/22/08 22:24:45 - Running

4. reset my Soundbridge
5. choose Wirless with passwort
6. Connet ok
7. SoundBridge found no Archiv!
8. Radio ok

What is wrong???

PS: With the Firefly software (provided by Pinnacle) is it all OK!!!

Thank you for support
Gerald

Yes, I meant that.

Have you tried unplugging the Roku, waiting for a few seconds, and then plugging it back in? The Roku retains its memory even when you turn it off, and can get confused about the port.

I'm not sure. I'm using a Roku at home, it works great and always finds the server.

What version of the Roku firmware are you using?

Me too.

Try switching the port. Try turning off the Firefly software.

No, I meant turning off, in case the Firefly software was blocking access to MC.

Did you try switching the port?

I have the solution:
I totaly reset my Fritzbox to factory setting ....
I installed MC new....
I Reset my Roku...

I am full hope .....all is OK   ;D

I don't know what was causing it (perhaps the Fritz box wasn't routing the multi-cast packets), but I'm glad it's working now.
