Title: Creating TrackInfo with Viz integrated
Post by: StFeder on January 26, 2008, 07:27:25 pm
I want to create a track info page for the use at ballroom lessons. Thatfor I created a TrackInfo page which shows our Logo, the dance type (comment field), track name/artist. Now I'd like to have a visualization on the page. I got this working, but: I don't want to have a colorfull random visualization to be shown, I'd like the remaining time to be shown at my track info page. I created a simple visualization doing this job. Now my problem:

How can I add a specified visualization to my trackinfo page?

Sorry, I just got it working :) The TrackInfo page uses the last selected visualization. That works for me :)

An other question: is it possible to create a vis containing a fullscreen time display? If I set the text size to something greater than 0.1, (with align center/center) it cuts the font. If another align is set it gets cut earlier...

Am I doing something wrong or is it just impossible (by design ;)) that bigger fonts getting cut?

Here is a screenshot:

If I maximize the window it is shown correctly, but it doesn't have the maximum possible size:

If I increase the font size to fill the screen better, it's cut in fullscreen view to:

I cannot see a reason for that in the visualization settings...

yes: put x1=0;y1=0;x2=1;y2=1 in the TextLocationEquation

and i see you use dynamic transform. an other option is to put a layer before the time.

 :)

Yeah! I got it!!! Thanks gappie! Well, I don't get what the line you recommended does, but it works!

At my first try I used as you suggested a layer to get it working. But it didn't work for me :( Now I tried it again because of your tip and it worked without tuning anything! It looks much cleaner without dynamic transform.

Thank you for supporting me with this. All my learners will thank you as well ;)
Here is a screenshot of what I did (using Frontpage because of my lack of html-knowledge):

I just read that you like holland and belgium... Our Dancing Studio is near the tripoint Germany, Netherlands, Belgium. And I'm afraid our <100 member school will never see Potsdam for dancing :-\ But if, I'll let you know. And take some MC questions with me ;)
