Title: Soundcard Aux input as a device?
Post by: Freakers on January 28, 2008, 05:46:39 am
Hi,

Not sure if I have missed something obvious but,

Is there any way that the line (aux) input of the soundcard can be used as a device? I want to select the Aux input as a device and just listen to whatevers on this input.

I have a Sony 400 CD player connected to this input and want to route it through MC using the volume and zone controls. Just like selecting web media or the cd drive.

I know this input is availible through the recorder but dont want to record to disk. Prehaps using this option with 'monitor' and no record?

Anyone help if this is possible or if its a feature request for the next version?

Many thanks,

Paul

Bump...

This should be a feature in MC.  No reason for it not to be.  I would think it would be relatively easy for you guys to code and would provide a lot more functionality...

My $.02
