Title: Playing .asf links in MC 12

Hi all,

I'm trying to play the following link in MC:

http://wjcu.jcu.edu/wjcu?MSWMExt=.asf

I've read that MC will play .asf files, but this link always opens in my browser.  Is it http is associated with my browser?  I have associated all .asf files with MC, but this link doesn't play.  What I'd really like to do is save the link as a Web Favorite.

How did you try to play it?

If you copy the link and paste it in MC at File -> Open URL ..., does it play?

Earlier today (just before I posted my previous message), I tried it and it worked fine. Now it does not. I think it is the stream itself that is having problem (it is not available at this moment). Now I can not play the URL using other players either.

Hello,

I see that there is a problem with the stream, but it still opens in my browser for me, and not in MC. 

I didn't mention that I'm on Windows Vista, and that may be an issue.  I can try on my XP machine and see what happens.
