With the new rotated cover art display, isn't it a bit nonsensical to have a 'drop shadow' behind the image? (on the vertical plane)

Would it not be more realistic to have a perspective shadow on the horizontal plane?

Hmmm.

I had never resized it large enough to notice that it was a drop shadow.  I always assumed they turned the cover art into a 3d object with some depth to imitate a CD case.  In display view, the background is black, so it doesn't even show up...

I agree it looks a bit weird as it is now if you enlarge it enough.
