Modified to make it clearer: Some of us would like the option of cropping photos to 16:9 or 16:10 aspect ratios in Image Editor.
Original text:
I recently wanted to crop some 6 megapixel 4:3 AR photos for an HDTV based slide show. To my surprise I found that there wasn't a 16:9 (HDTV) or a 16:10 (widescreen monitor) choice. Instead the choices were more geared for photo prints only.
Any possibility of adding these as pre-set options?

+1
(i asked for it in the past)
and if JR would add custom sizes\ratios, with the possibility to name and save them, that would be perfect.

Even better if we could have user definable presets that you can select in the theaterview gui and/or ir remote.
The recent ability to move the image up and down was enough for met to ditch zoomplayer completely. But I do miss my zp presets a little ;)

Help me understand where we're talking about. I'm not clear if it's printing, thumbnails, Display View, the image editor, or something else.

I too didn't understand this (before your reply).
The image editor could well have the 16x9 and 16x10 cropping options. Adding them should be a piece of cake. In additon, a custom option would make it even better. E.g. you could type 20x10 and it would shape it accordingly.

Apologies for the lack of clarity in the original post. I've modified it a bit to help.

What I want is essentially the same thing, but the ability to crop/stretch to the aspect ratio of a DVD cover, CD cover, widescreen screen shot, 4:3 screenshot, etc.
This would allow for uniform thumbnails and a cleaner look in theaterview.
