Title: album based gain on ipod
Post by: gummbah on February 15, 2008, 02:00:11 am
I have requested this a couple of times, but I am going to do it again since it is probably a small amount of work :)

I would like to be able to choose between album based replaygain and track based replaygain when transferring songs to the ipod. Some songs now sound insanely load when playing back an album (in particular when artists put sounds in between songs, or album introductions).
When playing mack in MC there is no problem, because I can use album based gain, but there is no such option for the ipod. MC automatically uses track based gain. That's really annoying. Only a simple choose between the two would solve the problem.

I find it difficult to believe I am the only one interested in this feature...  :(

I did some research. Turns out I am not the only one asking for this feature  ::)

Are there any plans to enable this?
Or, if not, I would at lesat like to know why not?
Sorry to continue nagging about this, but MC is so extremely well full-featured that I find it hard to belief this simple feature is not in there.

The request has been noted and is in the Feature request thread. We're busy working on other issues at this time so it's not something we can implement right now.

Thanks for the reply. Good to know that it is on the feature request thread and if there is anything I can do to make it move up the agenda a bit faster tell me!  ;)
