Title: Top Hits Incrementing
Post by: xen-uno on August 06, 2002, 12:17:37 pm
w/ MJ 8.336 & W2k

Scenario: Play a song that is in your Top Hits playlist

I assume that the sequence # in the list is the number of times played. For some strange reason the sequence # is incrementing by 2 rather than 1.
Any ideas whaaazzzzzuppp?

Yes - by and large it works correctly. But once it went from 6 to 8 to 10 after 2 plays. Maybe playing a song from the Top Hits playlist confused it so then it double counted.

update> double counting DOES occur if you pick a to play from the Top Hits playlist - could somebody test same to see if I'm twisted

Sorry....you are NOT twisted

Just tried to play a song in the Top Hits playlist and indeed it does add 2.

We can count!  But we decided to skip all odd numbers in Top Hits.  Is that odd?

BTW: I can't reproduce it. What kind of files are you playing?

It did it again...

As far as I can tell it only happens when I right click a song in the TopHitz Playlists and left click play..

6 (seq)   (play song once) = 8 (seq)

Happens with both OGG and MP3 files..

Nikolay

If you double click on a song (in Top Hits) it increments by one.
If you right click and select play it increments by two.

I thought maybe it was because I have alot of two-fers (same song - identical tagging except that one
is *.mp3 and the other is *.ogg), but that is not the case. It does it with solo files too.
