Title: Has anybody tried the new iPod firmware with MC yet?
Post by: lalittle on February 28, 2008, 04:15:13 am
Has anybody tried the new iPod firmware released a day or two ago (1.1.4)?  I was just curious if this had any impact on MC's functionality with iPods.  I was going to give it a shot myself, but I figured I'd ask first just in case somebody already discovered some compatibility issues.

Thanks,

Larry

I think 1.1.4 is for the iPhone & iTouch, not the other iPods. I have the iPhone and already upgraded to 1.1.4, but it does yet work with MC.

My Nano still says it is current with version 1.1.3.

I agree, I know the Classic is only at 1.1.1 I just checked. and that works fine with MC

Ah -- my mistake.  Based on the way people were talking in some other forums I thought that the iPods were at 1.1.4 as well.

Thanks for the correction.  I changed the title of the first post so that other people would not be misled by my mistake.

The current release "about" reads 1.2.3 for my 5th Generation iPOD Classic (60gb). It seems to work with MC 12 v 447 but then I haven't tried everything.
