Title: Some .mov videos play audio-only in MC (only)

Er, some .mov videos play audio-only in MC.  They play properly as audio+video in Quicktime player.  When imported, MC claimed they were audio files.  I changed "media type" to video, not sure if that makes any diff.  I restarted MC, files still play audio only.

Did you check "mov" checkbox on "Types played in DirectShow" list? Uncheck it should force it to be played in Quicktime. Depending on the actual contents of the mov files, you may or may not have suitable DirectShow filters to play them. Some mov files are handled correctly by Haali and FFDShow combination, some are not. "mov" files are played in Quicktime by default because of this.

That cured TWO issues:  this one and the problem I was having playing quicktimes in detached display!
