So if the Netgear MP101 is not going to work properly with Windows Vista 32/64... Are any network media players working??
I was looking at the Roku SoundBridge M1001 (to replace my MP101), is anyone using it with Windows Vista?
Any thoughts would be helpful.
Thanks

The DSM-520 from D-Link works really well for me.

I'm in the same boat. I liked the MP101, but it doesn't work with any UPnP server on Vista last I tried.
I want a player that doesn't require a TV (so it has its own small display). I want music in some areas of the house where I don't want a TV.

Yeah, same here.... and the Roku SoundBridge M1001 can serve that purpose, if i can find out if it works properly with Windows Vista.
It has a display and remote, is audio only.

If only the Logitech Wireless DJ worked with MC!

Hm, the Logitech Wireless DJ does work with MC - but not totally. It can't query the MC database, but it still works as a sound card, so you can stream MC's music to it. And you can control it just as media keys. But you're right, it can't actually queue up music in the way it can with the Windows Media Player library.
The Roku soundbridge works OK with MC under Vista. I don't actually use it with MC, because my main use for it was Napster, and the UPnP server in MC doesn't handle DRM :-(

It should. What happens when you try?

Well, I have been using a Roku M1001 with MC 12 and Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit for about a week now. And it seems to work very well.... it even plays more than one song. ;D
The fluorescent display is a little different, but with the adjustable brightness, it can be turn down so it does not light up a dark room. And it scrolls through the artist list much much faster than the MP101 does.
If you want an upnp device for use with Vista and MC take a look at the Roku M1001.
