How about adding SKYPE to the personal profile and the ability to upload your own AVATAR?

It gives you free telephone like calls over the internet.

New Fangled invention, allows you to talk to people hundreds of miles away. ;)

Skype also gives you free web video calls, if you have a web camera on your PC. Perhaps this would be a way to get face-to-face with someone, say a MC developer. ;D ;D ;D

These poor guys do have homes to go to!
(Also most developers are quite scary, trust me you probably wouldn't want to come face to face with one ;))

The software itself does, hoever I'm just guessing that it's not enabled for security and hosting server performance reasons. I run the same board on several other sites and it's a great board, just have to be careful with what you let members do or you'll have bad results, especially a board of this size.
