Title: "Last Played" sort order

I'm trying to use Last Played sorting to make sure I get the songs I haven't listened to in a while. However, I've noticed that anything that is marked as "never played" actually sorts as more recently played than the songs that were played longest ago. A smartlist sorted by Last Played looks something like this...

Last Played           Name
1/1/2006              Song 1
1/1/2007              Song 2
1/1/2008              Song 3
never played         Song 4
never played         Song 5


This defeats the purpose of sorting my playlists this way, since the "never played" songs never show up in my smartlists. Is this normal, or am I doing something wrong here?

Sounds like you're using an old build.

Update to the latest from the top of this board.

I was at 12.0.451, and I just updated to 12.0.459. Unfortunately, this didn't change anything about the sort order for Last Played.

go to options>tree&view>sorting. i expect that you have 'sort empty strings last' enabled.
