Title: Classic ipod BUG
Post by: RiderFan on March 20, 2008, 09:16:31 pm
I have an 80 gig Classic ipod, with firmware 1.1.1 using Vista SP1
When I use build 12.0.459 I run into this bug.
When syncing my ipod, when all the songs are transfered, MC stays at 85% transfered forever, until I hit cancel. MC doesn't hang, it just stops at 85% transfered.

I then went to my XP machine, updated MC to .459 and the exact same thing happened.

I then downgraded to .451 and all is well. I then tried .459 again, and my transfers were stuck at 85% again.

OK, I have reverted back to .451, but now my photo's will not show on my ipod! I can preview them, but I can not view them full screen! I tried not converting, and converting, still no love.

I knew I shouldn't have updated my firmware to 1.1.1

Please help.

Ok, I just synced my photo's with itunes (yuck...I feel dirty now). It worked fine, so somethings up with MC.

I know that you will get it fixed, please hurry.

Afaik the latest MC12 is updated to work with that.

Well, I just downgraded my firmware to 1.0.3 and I still can't view my pictures on my ipod classic. I thought maybe the new firmware broke the photo's.

I know it's a long weekend, so I may not get a response for a few days, but I would like JRiver to validate this bug when they get back.

As far as the stuck at 85% sync issue that was in my OP, I have read other posts about the same issue, and I know that J River is working on it.
