Try a search for them by name and under other media types, including documents.

Matt: Sent! Also sent a screenshot. Thanks for taking a look.

Jim: Photos in question are set to the image media type and do not appear in documents.

Odd huh?

A search by name shows the file in my standard image view, but once again, won't draw a thumbnail or play.

They didn't come up under audio, video or documents (I had to enable the data media mode for this library to test this). This is a pure image library for me (with some home videos) so I'd be able to tell really easily if they were somehow flagged as documents or something else...

The funny thing is, I know for a fact that all of the files in question (20-30 from different albums) worked okay in Media Centre at least at the end of last year, as I've tagged them all with people :P

Thanks for the images.  The problem will be fixed next build.

There was a boundary condition when the header sizes were just right that would cause an invalid header parsing error.
