Hi,
Does anyone know if the OTA ATSC channels that broadcast the free ABC, NBC, FOX, CBS etc. channels include any EPG information in the over-the-air signal? If they do, does MC12 use that information?
thanks,
Osho

The answer to your first question is "probably yes". The answer to the second question is "not yet".

All OTA ATSC channels in my area contain EPG data.
(ABC, NBC, FOX, CBS , PBS, Whatever)
Right now I receive 28 channels with a fixed roof ant. ( no rotor)
(This is pretty good in an area that only received 1 or 2 analog channels)
The answer to the second question is "not yet
Ill be waiting.

Could you please tell me how can I check if the OTA ATSC channels in my area contain EPG data or not?

Dont know what card you bought. Know you were looking at the Sabrent.
Arcsoft TotalMedia3 does OTA ATSC EPG pretty good:

But the rest of it, is not as good as MC.
Also they do not support the Sabrent card.
Hope this helps.

We'll try to add support for this when we get a chance. Thanks for bringing it up.

Thanks for moving the post, Jim
Wanted to mention that, but forgot.
Thanks

I ended up getting Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1800. It is supposed to be better at weak signals and multi-path resolutions and has FM tuner. I also saw there were enough mention of Happauge in MC12 forums to know that most likely it will work :).
I am getting my card today and will build the PC today/tomorrow. So, we will know soon enough how well it works with MC12 :).
