Is it in the intentions of J River to design a skin maker for MC? It would be great if a skin maker program was available. This would permit multiple skins to spring up and almost anyone could redesign a skin to suite his own needs and tastes. Stable programs with skin makers certainly have more users than programs that don’t. I know that the program can be skinned by changing the graphics and the corresponding XML files but it a very tedious job and certainly not for the average user.
I hope that at some time or another such a program will be made available that will enhance the MC experience.

Could you give an example of another skin maker for another program?
I'm intrigued how they work.

Well one example is a frontend program for car pc systems that I use. The program is called RoadRunner. This program is open source and somebody has developed a skinning software. The program can be found here.. http://guino.home.insightbb.com/RoadRunnerBinary.zip
And the skinning software here....http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/rr-skins/110522-skin-editor-v0-5-a.html
If you take a look over at the mp3car forum you will see that RoadRunner has far more skins and users over any other frontend program in that site. This is due to some extent to the skin editor.
