Title: ipod nano synch issue
Post by: Sauzee on March 30, 2008, 05:49:13 pm
thanks for the recent bug fixes, synching is working ok now, but maybe someone can help me with this situation...

i play tracks on my ipod
i then connect it to MC. MC updates the play count and rating of these tracks on my HDD
i then resynch..and MC wants to re-synch these files with my ipod.

But these files are already up to date on the ipod.

Anyway i can prevent MC from re-synching these tracks?

That's happening because the new rating is getting saved to the file tags which bumps the date modified which flags it for synching. To avoid it you can turn off saving changes to tags Tools > Options > General > Update tags when file info changes.

Ok, thanks. I suspected it might be that. I like the 'safety' of having info in the tag as well as the MC database. Is there no other way round this?
