Title: Emusic's New Darling
Post by: Charlemagne 8 on August 03, 2002, 04:55:28 pm
EMusic now says you need "Zinf" to download full albums.
They apparently no longer recommend "FreeAmp".

Zinf is based on the FreeAmp® source code. However, AMP® is a trademark of PlayMedia Systems, Inc., and therefore the original name of the project cannot be used any longer. On this website the old project will be referred to as FreeA*p.

Sounds like a bunch of baloney to me. Copywriting "AMP", indeed! Next someone will claim oxygen as their very own product and we'll have to either pay royalties to breathe or find something else.
