I've reported this earlier without any response:
on vista x64:
I'm having serious issues with the audio quality of streamed media (from file > open URL).
Strange short compressed sounds are popping in regularly (about each second)
I tried different options in the audio playback option without any success.
for the record here is the radio url:

Of course, the stream works fine with windows media player.
