Hey guys. Long time no see.
I'm trying to convert a bunch of FLAC files that play just fine. When I convert them to mp3 it says failed converting under status next to the song title and a message pops up saying Failed to convert 12 files. Please ensure that your files exists, and are of a supported format.
I checked the plugins for input and encoder, both FLAC and Mp3 exist. Furthermore, I never had this issue before upgrading to 12.0.428 [corrected version] which I did yesterday. I am regularly converting Flac to Mp3 since my old library is all in Flac. This started since I upgraded. I did my last convertion the day before yesterday.
I checked all settings and checked if all the plugin files exist. I can't find what's wrong.
Any suggestions?

I don't think the converter has changed anyhow (FLAC to MP3 works for me).
As a test, could you try to first convert a FLAC file to wave and if it worked convert the resulting wave file to MP3?
This might tell if the problem is related to FLAC decoding or to MP3 encoding.

I'm not sure, but it's worth trying a later build.

I guess it is a typo and he means 12.0.468.
-
He also said 248, so I thought he probably had 428.
-
Thx for the responses.
I'm using 428, I'll try the latest build 468. Sorry for the confusion.
The error appears with every conversion I attempt, even from and to wav files so it doesn't seem to be related to a specific codec.
I'll try a complete deinstall if the latest build doesn't resolve the issue and let you know how it works out.

Make sure the files exist and are in your local library (not served by Library Server, for example).

The upgrade didn't work so I removed everything, rebooted and reinstalled.
This fixed the issue.
