I updated to the latest MJ version and now MJ says it does not detect a CD R/W on my system. What gives?

Q & A
Why won't Media Jukebox detect my CD burner?
Most likely one of two problems:
Your CD writer model is not supported by our software. Check the list of supported devices at http://www.goldenhawk.com/devices_body.html. Note that every few months there is an update that supports new drives so try using the "Check for updates" option under Help in Media Jukebox.
You have a missing or invalid ASPI layer. ASPI is a piece of system software that communicates between Media Jukebox (and other burner software) and your CD writer. This problem most often occurs on Windows NT/2000/XP systems because these don't come with ASPI installed, whereas Windows 95/98/ME come with ASPI. See our ASPI help page for more information At http://www.musicex.com/mediajukebox/aspi.html
