Title: A New Spin on Using MC Outside of Windows
Post by: Seviien on April 07, 2008, 01:57:15 pm
I don't know too much about coding, but I thought I'd bring this up.  It's a company that writes C++ libraries that help programs written for windows run on other OSes.  It must be good stuff, because I know one of the programs that uses it is very CPU intensive, and it actually runs faster on WINE than it does within windows.

Can someone with knowledge better than mine comment on if something like this might be of use to the MC guys?  If it is, it might be a relatively easy and inexpensive way to expand the market for MC.

I'd find it very hard to give any money to a company called PISD.

I guess that's why people in marketing have jobs...  They are British, though, so maybe it translates differently.  Kinda like the Chevy Nova in South America or Gerber baby food in Africa.

I lack the technical ability to comment on the secifics of how they do what they do, but from what I can tell it's a 1 or 2 man shop.  And they seem to deliver high quality customer service.

I think they speak English, though, don't they?

Yup. For example, we know about letter capitalisation and apostrophe usage. :)
