I don't know why this is happening but the last few updates is giving me a message the DirectShow filters are not installed when I haven't changed anything at all but install your current release (though I have done this one).
Then I will get about 30 or more generated requests for MS License updates.
The only way I can get out of it is to reboot. What is happening. Like I
said I haven't myself changed any parameters.

Turn off auto-import.
Try importing a directory at a time until you find out what filetypes are causing the problem.
-
I'm not sure what you're asking. Do you mean to reimport my music
directory file. There approximately 30 - 35 files all of a sudden that giving
this DirectShow filter error and wanting a MS license download but it
says when I try 'you already have 10 licenses'.
Thanks,
Skylar

Most video files and some audio files are played using DirectShow filters. You need to have DirectShow filters for the files you are playing. However you do not need to have MS licenses to play them (unless you are playing DRM'd media). So I am not sure what MS license error you got. What kind of files caused those errors?
-
I have no video files about 3000 music files. This has only happened during the last month after downloading your updates. Again I haven't changed any parameters at all. It floods my PC with requests to download a MS license.
I don't know what is causing this problem all of a sudden.
It gives me a display on these particular songs and askes that DirectShow filters
be installed. How do I know that this is in place.

What format are your music files in (mp3, wma, m4a, etc.)?
-
Most are MP3 and WMA with one OGG file

OK, I just downloaded your current release on my PC that was giving me the problem
with the MS license and after the software upgrade and the application came up,
it only ask for one MS license this time instead of 35.
It is definitely the software for some reason that is causing this problem with both
the license and the DirectShow problem. It also keeps changing my sort. I have
to keep going back in and correct the sort order.

Do you have shuffle on?
-
Where is that option located at.
After my last comment above, I then updated my laptop and got the license
problem again, though it only displayed the MS License required twice,
so when I tried to click on the download, it said that I had already downloaded it 10 times. How do I reset this.
Thanks,
Skylar

Are you able to play your wma files using Windows Media Player?
-

Oops, tried it on the wrong PC, its my laptop and I'll trying playing

On my Dell 630 laptop, these MS License notices are still popping up. I downloaded your 475 but its still happening. It at least is not dumping 30-35
notices all at once but at least a dozen that I have to cancel out.
So I again do I reset these notices.
Thanks,
Skylar ?

The only thing I can think of is the licensing of your DRM'd wma files. Do your wma files play correctly on Windows Media Player?
-
What is DRM wma files. I randomly selected some wma/songs and they played find. Its just
when I bring up MC, I get these MS license message. They are not as bad as they use
to be, now its about only 5 or so message. It happens after I've been on for a minute or
two. I don't know if its reading my song file or what to get this info that it wants a
license for. Like I've said, I've been using your software for years and its only in the
last couple of months that this has happened.
Thanks,
Skylar

Maybe you should take a Picture of The Message So Users Can See It.

Well, for some reason that window that use to pop up referring to DirectShow has stopped but the MS License windows still does approx. 5 - 10 times that
I have to continue to click off. Again, for some reason, this is only happening
to my laptop and not on my home or work desktop.
Thanks for your continuing help.
Skylar.

Can you take a screenshot of that MS license window and post it here?
