Hi Folks, here's a fun one for you.
I am using .470 with my new 160GB classic iPod (with the latest firmware as installed via iTunes, i.e v1.1.1).
I sync'd my 90GB library to it overnight.
At the iPod's main menu I can see it panning artwork at random but when I play any of the tracks from any of the albums I just saw panning it is not showing up. Also coverflow is not showing the artwork.
Any ideas?

Hmmm ... further to this I just started playing an album and the artwork suddenly appeared 40 minutes into it. I stopped playing the album, played another track then went back to play the same album. So far the artwork hasn't appeared yet.
It could be an iPod issue or it could be the way MC has transferred the data to the iPod, I have no idea.
Anyone else experiencing the same issue?
I am going to use iTunes (yuk) to transfer the album to see how it behaves.

Sounds like the issues I've got here-

While I have a 5.5g iPod with an older firmware than the latest, I'm not convinced that MC is entirely innocent in this regard ;)
I'd try a build before 12.0.251 & see if it fixes things, as the iPod DB format update in this build appears to be the root of my problems.

Thanks for the info.
I am going to wipe my iPod (that was a waste of 10 hours uploading my data) and use iTunes to upload a couple of albums. Then I am going to wipe it again and try the same albums with MC to see what happens.
I may go back to an older build if I don't get any meaningful results.

Ringo,
Wait for build 12.0.471 to retry with MC. We've fixed a lot of iPod problems in that build.

Cool.

Just trying it now and, fingers crossed, everything is much better. I transferred over 20 odd albums (ones which I had trouble with earlier) and the artwork now appears almost instantly. I have now kicked off a sync loading the other 900+.
