Title: EVR, DVD Playback and aspect ratios

So, I installed .Net 3.0 on Windows XP HTPC to get EVR. Now, I can choose EVR in DVD Playback options and play DVDs. I see one bug: when I change aspect ratios - certain aspect ratios do not show any picture. I think the No Crop Aspect Ratio always shows Picture but other aspect ratios (e.g. DVD is 1.85 etc.) will not show any picture.

This is on MC12 .470 build, Windows XP Professional SP2, latest updates.

On another related note, I also noticed today morning that some DVD decoder filters are no longer selectable and give an error (this happenned on two PCs). This could have been caused by the automated windows update that occurred last night - which also rebooted PCs automatically.

EVR seems half-baked on XP.  At least it's been flaky for me.

I'd recommend VMR on XP and EVR on Vista.
