Title: Media Jukebox plays no audio
Post by: arisjani on August 02, 2002, 05:56:15 pm
Dear Sirs,

Media Jukebox was working fine, then - very sadly - I had to reinstall windows 98.  I then reinstalled Media Jukebox and now it will play mp3's but it will not play the audio of any of my music videos.  It plays the video fine - but it's absolutely silent.  Windows Media player will make no sound at all. It acts like it's playing an mp3 but without any sound.  Realcom's RealOnePlayer will play both video and audio of any video I have - even full length feature movies - but I hate RealPlayer and would really like to get Media Jukebox working again.

Thanks
ari

Sounds like you haven't got the right codecs installed. Where did you get the videos? Try installing Divx ( http://www.divx.com ).
If that doesn't work, try the Nimo Codec Pack ( http://www.btinternet.com/~nimosiro/ ) but be a bit careful. Some of the things it installs are unstable. Try installing all the codecs but none of the filters unless you know what they are. In particular, steer clear or VobSub.

In MJ under settings/options/playback try switching playback to analog.
