Hi. I can synch music to my iphone, but when I try to synch photos, what I get is 250 blank white squares in the "photos" app.
I've tried this with MC set both not to and to convert photo formats.
-
What version of MC? Please try 12.0.476 if you haven't. It's on the MC12 board, at the top.
-
It was with .473 and .475. I'll try 476 tonight.
-
Sadly, MC freezes during iphone sync in .476. :'(

We haven't been able to make much progress on our iPhone implementation lately. We're working on it but don't have any fruits to share yet. Please keep an eye out for announcements on any break-throughs we might have...
-
I got it to sync again with .481, and yes, the photos are still just white squares.
-
That indicates that we don't know the correct format for the images...
If anyone has a jailbroken iPhone or iPod Touch out there, we need to take a look at the file that contains the image specifications. I think the path to the file is something like '/System/Library/Frameworks/ArtworkCache.framework/Checkpoint.plist'. If you can hunt down this file could you please send it to me (rick at jriver dot come) with a description of your device.
Thanks,
Rick

While you're at it, MC lumps all of the photos into one single category. One nice iTunes feature is that it puts the photos into folders on the iPhone that match the folders in one's "My Pictures" directory. Of course, MC could easily outdo iTunes by allowing the user to select the sorting and sort on, for example, genre.

Please let me know when this is worth trying again.

Does this help?

No, it's identical to the one we have for the touch which is what we are using for the specification for the iPhone and the touch right now. Is that from an iPhone or a touch?
It looks like we'll have to get our hands on an iPhone to make any more progress...

I found the file spec here:

I thought I saw something about 'iphone spec' at the bottom of the code previously posted.
