OK, herself wonders why I do it. Sometimes I wonder. I sit here. I click. I type. Sometimes I laugh outloud. Why? What is it?
My answer: It's like being in the wheelhouse of a very big sailing ship, trying to see through fog, wondering what the heck is going on out there. Sometimes it's beautiful. Sometimes it's ugly. It's rarely boring.
What is it? Why do we return? Are we unable to escape?
I'm Jim. I'm addicted.

I'd say it's like hanging out in a coffee shop on a busy street corner. You'll see some friends go by. They might stop for a chat. There are some freaks. They might be scary or entertaining. If you don't like it, you can always go home, but there's always something new to see.
