Title: Change download location for Audible files not working
Post by: dflachbart on April 27, 2008, 11:13:40 am
Hi,

i have been using MediaJukebox in the past and I am thinking of upgrading to MediaCenter because of its Audible integration to get rid of iTunes. Download and transfer to my iPod works fine, but I am not able to change the download directory for the Audible files...  :-[ I selected 'Options' by right-clicking on the AudibleStore service and entered a different directory. The setting seems to get stored (it's changed when I open the options again), but all files I download are still getting stored under 'My Documents\My Music\...'. Is this a bug ? This feature would be essential for me.

Thanks,
Dirk

It should use the path specified in Options > File Location for new downloads.

It should use the path specified in Options > File Location for new downloads.

You mean the 'Options' menu accessible by right-clicking on the 'Audible Store' service, right ? Well that's exactly where I changed the file location, but it still always downloads to 'My Documents\My Music'...

I was talking about the main program options.

I don't think there should be a right-click menu on the Audible Store under Services & Plug-ins in the tree.  Make sure your version of Media Center is up to date.

There isn't initially, but once you click on the Audible service and load the Audible website into MC a right-click menu with a single "Options" item is available.  This brings up a dialog with a single "Download file location:" entry.  I can confirm that this "Download file location" is not honored by MC.

BTW this is with 12.0.492.

Oh well, looks like that this indeed doesn't work, and that there's no interest to fix it...   :(

Just to confirm, I'm seeing this in the latest version as well.

I also noted what skeeterfood pointed out -- that until you actually highlight the "Audible" item in the tree, you cannot bring up the right click "Option."

Thanks,

Larry

Has this been fixed in 12.0.512 ? I can't check it because my trial has expired...

Thanks,
Dirk
