Title: Can I sort my photos by the folder they are in?
Post by: itschrismck on April 28, 2008, 03:51:47 pm
In the PHOTO TAB all my photos appear. I have played with a bunch of diffrent settings and can not seem to make them appear they way I have them set up in my My Documents >>>  MY Photos >>> Christmas 2007

MY QUESTION: Is there a way to have my photos display using the folder & folder name I have set up in my MY PICTURES folder?

See image for a better example

Thanks
Chris

Have you tried the default Images > Disk Location view scheme?

You can configure it to start at any path you like.

Thanks for the advice, I figured out a way to show my pix in the sub folders and display in a logical way.

Another way would be to populate your event tag via tags from file name.

I have a somewhat related question.
My photos are sorted on disk by directory, e.g. \summerholiday2007
However I make a distinction between photos already backedup on dvd and photos not yet backed up.
So my directory structure looks like this:

\photos\backedup\summer2006
\photos\backedup\birthday2006
etc
\photos\notbackedup\summer2008
etc.

I would like my photo maps in MC to show up sorted by the last subdirectory only.
Is this possible?
