Title: Zune Support
Post by: WeeHappyPixie on May 02, 2008, 02:41:06 am
Hi Folks,

I know this has been mentioned in the past and JimH said that Zune is a closed world.

I understand that the Zune uses a custom protocol that Micro$oft are keeping to themselves however with the introduction of zaccellerator and zsuite surely a plug-in or other kind of hack could be introduced into MC12 to support the Zune. Yes it would be unofficial as far as M$ are concerned however as long as the end user is made aware that its and unsupported feature and the responsibility for compatibility lays with them I and I am sure others would be quite happy to use MC instead of the Zune software.

Please can you consider this as MC really is a fantastic tool and so is the Zune hardware.

Thanks for reading my plea,

John

Not there yet.

The zAlternator hack still requires that you start a sync with the Zune software, tank Zune with Windows Task Manager and then fire up zAlternator so the Zune can be synchronized with an alternate media manager.
