I am currently using MC12 on my home PC. I decided to create a portable version on my thimb drive.
Everything transferred fine, except when I launch MC12 on my thumbdrive it says that I need to purchase, restore, or continue with the trial period.
I first tried to restore the license file from the backup MC12 .mjr file I had. An information box pops up stating:
Error restoring Media Center license:
Invalid license, error code = 21
This is the same license file I am using on my home PC.
So I thought I would go ahead and restore my license from the internet. I received the e-mail with the Registration Code listed in it. I went to the web site and entered the Registration Code as instructed and I received a message stating my license file has expired.
I started with having 9 restores left this year and I am down to 6 now. I did not have this problem before. Am I doing something wrong?

Check your system date.
What version of MC are you using?
Is the original copy of MC on the PC properly licensed?
The mjr file is only good for 14 days. You can read more about licensing in our Wiki (link above).

Just reply to this message with details. You can have our system e-mail the Registration Code to you. (If that's what you mean.)
