Please see this thread. Please enable the automatic deletion of imported playlists if those imported playlist files are no longer there. IE Playlist file is deleted but does not automatically get removed from MC. Essentionally just the same functionality of deleted songs being automatically removed so should playlists.
This is really import please consider this.
