Title: Hal, Our Reporter in Minneapolis (Podcast of 35W Bridge)
Post by: JimH on May 10, 2008, 09:59:25 am
You might remember the series from Carolyn, our reporter in New York City (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=33089.0).

We've got the first episode of a new series from Hal, our reporter in Minneapolis.  He covered the 35W Bridge collapse and reconstruction in this podcast.

Subscribe to the Podcast Feed
Open this URL in MC's File/Open URL:  pcast://www.jriver.com/~jriver/misc/callmehal.xml

OR just create the feed under Podcasts in the tree in MC:

FEED NAME:  Call Me Hal
FEED:  http://www.jriver.com/~jriver/misc/callmehal.xml  (clicking on this link won't work).

Once you've done either of the above, you'll have a new podcast feed in MC.  Then press "download".  It's 31MB and well worth your time.

If MC is the default podcast program this link should work better:

itpc://jriver.com/~jriver/misc/callmehal.xml

Do you have CCCP installed and MP4 set to be decoded through DirectShow? (It works for me. MC uses Haali Media Splitter and FFDShow Video & Audio Decoders.)

Click on Download.  Then it should play.

I just added another episode of the bridge reconstruction.  Hal interviews an engineer from Flatiron Constructors.

The interview stops playing about halfway through for some reason...

It looks like a bad upload.  I'll fix it tomorrow.  Sorry for the problem.
