Title: Purchased 8.0. Now what?

I've been an 8.0 user for years, just got a new laptop and have found this 12.0 mess.  Edit doesn't work. Can't get my license to restore. Am I out my original purchase?

When I restore, I get an "unknown error" message. This uses up one of my available restores and the thing still doesn't work.

No, your original license is still valid.

You can install MJ8 and then do the restore.

Or you can upgrade to MJ12 for free.

Thanks John. Any ideas why I keep getting the Failed to Install (Unknown Error) message? Also, Does the update still allow you to edit a file (crop, generate, etc.)? And if I get the free update, will I be able to record in and convert to MP3?

Actually, I'd like to keep using my old reliable MJ8...I can't seem to find a link to install it. Any direction?
