I would like to request an enhancement to the Image Acquisition feature from a digital camera. I currently use a different program to acquire images that shows thumbnails of all the images on the camera that you can selectively acquire certain images or delete, etc. After I selectively acquire from the external program I have to do an Auto Import in MC to get the new images. This works ok but is not the simplest procedure for others using MC and it would be nice to get rid of the external program. It would be great if this kind of selective visual image acquisition was built into MC. Thanks.

I acquire all image, then delete the bad ones while in a temp directory, then use Library Tools to move them. I think it's faster.

I acquire to my final directory, then delete as needed. I normally delete 4 out of 5 pictures.
I don't see any real advantage to managing content on the card vs getting it and managing it on the computer.

It's how my wife likes to do it so who am I to question :)? She likes to keep the images on the card until she is sure that there were no problems transferring. Does the MC image acquisition skip the images that were already acquired? If so, then this probably would be fine.

No, it gets them all. It can be set to delete or not delete the images from the camera after acquisition.

Ok, thanks. If it could skip previously acquired images it probably could work for us.

We're thinking about it.

Just bumping this to try to keep it on the radar...

Still thinking about it or is it off the table?
