I use the Drives and Devices menus extensively for tagging, playing, stacking etc.
I've found Stacking Album files very useful for adding the files to the database and then tagging all files (Audio, Graphic & Data)
A few versions back, the Stack menus were available from Drives & Devices and now they have gone home to roost in the Database area only.
Luckily, if I go to my All Media area, and make some stacking selections, the right click menu stores them as my last used and I can then go back to Drives and Devices and use them, until I use more than the 8 and of course they get moved out of the list.
Please make them available in the Drives & Devices again.

What view are we talking about? Drives or devices? Or both?

Drives & Devices...... The Stacks Menus are fine elsewhere. They were removed from the Drives & Devices area.

They were removed from a lot of places. They don't make sense under devices. If that when you were using them they won't be coming back. But if you were browsing a drive it might.
-
Using them in the right browse pane similar to if I were browsing the library.
I have all music/graphics/docs for each album associated to a directory
Drive O:/Boston/(1978) Boston - Don't Look Back
I select all files in the right browse view and Stack
The stacks don't compress in this view but the tagging works just like they were collapsed.
The stack Icons tell me if they are collapsed or expanded
I actually found this to be the quickest way to tag and add to the database.
I commonly use Stack, Collapse and Expand in the browse view.
Thanks in advance for anything you can do to get this added back into the right click menus
