Title: Arcsoft Splitter
Post by: music07 on June 26, 2008, 10:18:05 am
Hello,

Under Direct Show Filters, when I right click
on MP4 (already checked), select filters, under
source filters I am not given the option to use
Arcsoft Splitter.

Has this been remove since I am running on the
most current version of MC?  I can't figure out
why Arcsoft is not showing under the "source
filter" list.

Anyone may know the answer to this?

Thanks,
Rick

I have "ArcSoft MP4 Splitter" listed under Source Filters. Try reinstalling/re-registering ArcSoft filters.

ArcSoft filters are not part of MC. A third party software may have installed them. You have to know where you initially got them from.

If you know you had them before, try finding this file:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\ArcSoft\MPEG Engine\mp4splitter.ax

(or mp4splitter.ax at another location), and register it.

Thanks!!

I just found out how to install when I noticed you posted.

Goto Arcsoft website
download "Total Media" , which is a media program
with different filters embedded in their program.
Once loaded, reset computer and after this, if you wish to unistall the
program, do so, I did.  Once unistalled, it will ask you if you would like
to kept these filters, say "I do".  8)
