Title: Unable to Play Applelossless for NIN: Ghosts I-IV
Post by: Necrosis on June 28, 2008, 10:20:55 pm
I purchased the NIN: Ghosts I-IV on Appleloss.

On my laptop after installing Quicktime I can play them fine on Mediajukebox.

However, on my main PC I can only import them but they don't show up under the library, and will not play. I kept receiving this error message when I try to open one of the tracks:

"The media types of the selected files are not supported for playback. (<none>)"

Make sure Quicktime is installed.

Also, if you could convert to an open format like APE or FLAC, it'd be better.  Our hands are tied a little bit with proprietary Apple files.

It is installed which is the crazy thing about it. Quicktime plays the files w/o any issues.

Just converted them w/ dbpoweramp to flac but still would like a solution which keeps the original album art for each truck.

Went ahead & re-purchased the album from NIN, downloading the tracks right now. Which is cheaper than purchasing dbpoweramp. Normally I use Easy CD-DA Extractor (http://www.poikosoft.com/) just didn't feel like spending the $36.00 on dbpoweramp though it would of been nice to been able to convert to Apple Lossless. The $5 dollar is a heck alot cheaper; still would be nice to able to import Apple Lossless files.
