Title: Converting video formats?
Post by: kartal on July 13, 2008, 08:46:42 pm
Hi
I just started using the trial version, I really like it. However I cannot find a way to convert video formats. It seems like MC only support audio conversion?

thanks

Welcome to Interact.  MC can convert some formats when it syncs with some devices (PS3 and iPod).

Ohh well, I hope that MC could support video conversion sometime in near future.

Btw it is really nicely designed application and worth the money.

Some good conversion applications:

1. AutoMKV (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=134478) (free and great)
2. DVDFab Platinum (http://www.dvdfab.com/) (not free, but easy and slick)
3. AutoGK (http://www.autogk.me.uk/) (XviD or ASP only, but still old faithful and free)

Thanks for suggestions. I use avidemux and super for conversion but you know having all in one app is more convenient :) I might try setting up external app in MC.

If you do it manually normally, you'd probably be very well served by AutoMKV.  It is really quite slick and the guy who develops it is very responsive if you need any changes.
