When ripping MC makes tagging existing files impossible as it keeps resetting the view when saving tag changes to the ripped files. I'm user two rip options, retrieve cover art after rip & analyze audio during rip. I'll try ripping with these two turned off (would this solve the problem), but this is similar to trying to edit Windows filenames in Explorer when copying new files to that folder; you'll be editing and the prompt gets closed as files get written and the folder is refreshed.
