Title: Media Server Question
Post by: Hookem on July 29, 2002, 03:22:20 pm
This is what I get when I try to connect to Media Server.  Anyone know what this could mean?

How are you trying to connect and from where? Music01 is a now-defunct program that would have permitted limited file-streaming amongst users. Not in operation presently.

Current application is Media Server, accessed from Tools>Media Server>Start Server. Requires same build of MJ Plus to be installed on both the host and the client, on the client program you enter IP address of host, allows you to connect remotely to your library from any other computer with MJ Plus installed.

Hope this helps.

You get this message when you try to connect to the Media Server using a standard web browser.  You need to use Media Jukebox as the client program.

Even 8.0.336 says "Music01" in the error message.

Oh yeah...  Both the media server and web remote default to port 80 so 1 or the other will need to be changed.
