Title: Play counts and rating sync with iPods

Hi,

I have selected the option to update play counts and ratings when synch'ing one of my iPods. This particular one has not been synch'ed in almost 6 months and at this time I don't want those stats to be transferred to MC.

Is there a way to disable that option BEFORE the info is passed to MC? I've tried to disable the option without the iPod plugged in but it's not possible... and I'm affraid that the transfer may occur just at the very moment that I will plug the iPod... am I right? or is it when I click sync now? If it's the later, I will still be able to change the option but if it's the former... what do you suggest?

To the best of my recollection...

You are correct in that the option dialogs are not available until after the device is connected.
At the time the ipod is attached, MC will detect it and update it's database.
The data that MC grabs off of the ipod is stored in a single file I thing (itunesdb, I think).
If you attach the ipod to the computer without MC running, you can then browse the ipod and delete that file before launching MC.
